Control That Ringer collects and stores the following information when you create an account:

• Account information: Your email address, used for sign-in.
• App settings: Preferences like detection radius and dwell time.
• Saved locations: Names and coordinates of temples, meetinghouses, and custom locations you choose to monitor.
• Activity logs: Records of when the app sent notifications (event type and timestamp).
• Reminder schedules: Days, times, and settings for your per-location reminder schedules.

Scheduling requires no location data: The app's primary reminder system uses only your saved schedules (days and times) — no location permission or data is needed. If you opt in to location-based features (meetinghouse discovery, temple proximity, arrival reminders), location processing happens entirely on your device — your real-time position is never sent to our servers.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Your information is used exclusively for the app's core functionality: sending you scheduled reminders, optional weekly temple prompts, yearly time-update reminders, and — when location is enabled — proximity-based notifications and travel suggestions for Temples, Meetinghouses, and other saved locations, so you can manage your phone's ringer settings.

Saved schedules determine when reminders are sent. When location is enabled, saved location coordinates are used for on-device proximity detection, travel suggestions, and for helping you discover nearby Meetinghouses and Temples. All notification types can be individually toggled. Activity logs help you see your notification history within the app.

App data is stored securely in our databases. Your account, saved locations, and schedules sync across devices when signed in.

Schedule-based reminders are processed locally using your saved schedule data. Location-based features also process entirely on your device — your real-time position is never sent to our servers.

We use third-party services for secure database hosting and authentication. These services store your account information and app data on our behalf.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
